Visit Cannes

Visiting Cannes means exceptional tourist sites and a Mediterranean dolce vita. Famous for its international film festival, the city offers a gentle way of life that is palpable the rest of the year! Take a walk around the Old Harbour, stroll along the Croisette, sail towards the Abbey of Lérins and its islands… You will be amazed by the beauty of this city that Visitorama will help you discover.

From Antiquity to the Middle Ages, Cannes was a quiet little town inhabited by fishermen and monks. The fishermen developed the Suquet district near the Old Port. You will enjoy walking around on hot summer evenings. The many restaurants on the quay will allow you to enjoy it even more. The monks have built the Abbey of Lérins, located on the island of Saint Honorat. A real jewel. If you like it, you can even stay there for the night (reservation required). However, you will have to abide by the rules to keep the peace of this dreamlike place.

Well surrounded by the Esterel massif and Antibes, Cannes is exceptionally well situated to offer dreamy landscapes. If you are more of a nature lover, you will love the magnificent forest park of the Croix-des-gardes and its 20km of marked paths. But you can also replay the climb up the red-carpeted steps of the Palais des festivals.
